The short version

The website asks everyone whether Google Analytics may use analytics cookies. Google Analytics does not load unless you allow it. One strictly necessary cookie remembers your choice for 180 days.

You can use every website feature after rejecting analytics and can change your choice at any time through Cookie Settings in the footer.

Cookie management

TikCodex uses the standard, browser-only CookieConsent interface to display the banner and settings panel. Your choice is handled entirely in your browser. It does not require an account, server function, worker, or database.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are treated as a rejection of analytics. When either browser signal is active, Google Analytics stays off.

Strictly necessary cookie

cc_cookie

Stores the cookie categories you selected and the date of your choice. It expires after 180 days and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Google Analytics cookies

If you allow analytics, Google Analytics may set _ga and related _ga_* first-party cookies for up to 90 days. These help distinguish browser visits for aggregate website measurement. Advertising features, Google Signals, and automatic page-view collection are disabled.

Rejecting analytics prevents the Google tag from loading. Withdrawing consent stops new Google Analytics events, sets Google’s disable flag, and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies.

Services that do not set cookies

PostHog

Measures a limited set of website events. It does not create cookies or store anything permanently in your browser. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable it.

Sentry

Reports website errors and does not set its own browser cookies.

Change your choice

Open Cookie Settings in the website footer to allow or reject analytics at any time. Blocking measurement through your browser or an extension will not break the website.
